Happy Pride!
For as long as I can remember, my dear friends and most supportive guests whose intersections and identities include their orientation have been a positive influence on me personally and professionally. In return and appreciation, LGBTQ allyship is vital to me in creating a network rooted in love, encouragement, respect, and acceptance. Being an ally means standing up for the rights of LGBTQ individuals, and advocating for their inclusion in all aspects of life. A commitment to allyship is especially significant to me as a business owner and leader, as I have found that diverse cultures influence communities, foster innovation, increase productivity and solve complex problems utilizing different perspectives.
Allies play a crucial role in challenging stereotypes, combating discrimination, and fostering environments where everyone feels safe and valued. By supporting LGBTQ voices and issues, allies help to break down barriers and promote understanding and empathy.
Prominent Filipino LGBTQ figures such as Gina Ortiz Jones and Boy Abunda continue to inspire and pave the way for a more inclusive society. Their presence and work highlight the importance of allyship in driving social change through dialogue and representation.
