James Beard Foundation Merienda.
A fabulous Filipino brunch.
Celebrating Filipino Food Month, a lineup of established and emerging Filipino chefs, curated by Nicole Ponseca, convened in New York City's Platform at Pier 57, which is the James Beard Foundation's new culinary space. Along with the Filipino Food Movement, we welcomed Filipino food fans from near and far. We experienced incredible innovation, Philippine flavors, and togetherness. Top Chef Alums Dale Talde and Leah Cohen, James Beard Finalist Nicole Ponseca and emerging chefs Woldy Reyes, LJ Almendras and Diana Manalang created an unforgettable menu and provocative Q & A afterwards...with, of course, selfies!
